Background:

The strategic importance of the forum to global geopolitics has been acknowledged by both within and outside the forum. India and France have taken the lead in promoting the need for a free, open, and inclusive Indo Global Ngo Forum by working with like-minded countries.

Non-governmental stakeholders should be included in the discourse as governments of these countries work on security, strategic, and economic issues.

There is immense scope for positive collaboration among Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to complement the efforts at the inter-governmental level towards greater synergy in the Indo-Global Ngo Forum and act as a link between citizens and officials. An important platform for such collaboration will be a coalition of NGOs that connect well-established NGOs across participating countries.
